The Ballard Addition

Making room for a new baby without leaving a great neighborhood and short commute

The family that owns this property had a second child on the way and they were in need of additional square footage.

They looked into moving and it was more expensive to find a house in their neighborhood that had enough room for them all. They love their neighbors and live close to work so it made the most sense to remodel.

For this project, the family began their remodel with Ryan Rhodes Design to develop a set of plans. From those drawings, we built a master suite, enlarged the kitchen by extending the foot print of the structure and updated all electrical, plumbing systems and heating.

They really love the new space we created because they’re now able to accommodate their growing family and have people over for parties! They also host a nanny share program at their house. Their kids also have room to run around and the parents still have their own quiet space upstairs.
