PACIFIC NW PERCH

Architect:  Charles Gordon

CHALLENGE

As a personal project, the client bought the property which had been through countless cycles of neglect and remodels by previous owners throughout the years. The rundown house required almost a complete demolition and rebuild. Furthermore, it sat on a small lot, limiting the size and simplicity of the project.

SOLUTION

Working with the architect, SBNW employed different techniques to maximize the square footage of the home without losing the charm of the craftsman style that is so quintessential to the Pacific Northwest. Small spaces were designed for function and to feel larger than they actually were.

OUTCOME

The result was a spacious, craftsman-inspired home that took advantage of every square inch, while feeling natural in its neighborhood context.
